ICG, the global alternative asset manager, today announced the appointment of Pierre Grandjean as Managing Director within its European direct lending team, Senior Debt Partners (“SDP”). Based in ICG’s Paris office, Pierre will report into SDP Co-Head, Mathieu Vigier.
Pierre joins ICG from Sixth Street, where he worked as a Principal in Speciality Lending, covering senior direct lending and mezzanine solutions. In this role, he oversaw origination, underwriting and term negotiation for the French market and European TMT activity. Prior to Sixth Street, Pierre worked at Goldman Sachs, latterly as an Executive Director in the firm’s private credit arm, with responsibilities spanning senior direct lending, mezzanine and hybrid capital. Before this, Pierre performed M&A and restructuring analysis at Houlihan Lokey. His sector experience includes TMT, healthcare, insurance brokerage and B2B services.
This senior hire underlines SDP’s commitment to consolidating its market-leading team, trailing the final close of its fifth vintage in September 2024 which, at $17bn, represents the largest direct lending fundraise in Europe to date.
