ICG strengthens North American distribution team and appoints Global Head of Consultant Relations

Intermediate Capital Group, the specialist asset manager, announces it has hired Chris Austin CFA to strengthen its North American distribution team, liquid strategies coverage and consultant relations.

Chris joins ICG from Standish, the Boston based dedicated fixed income investment management firm, where for the last seven years he has been head of US sales and global consultant relations. At ICG Chris will expand ICG’s overall coverage of North America, he will also have particular responsibility for liquid credit strategies globally, and he becomes global head of consultant relations.

Prior to head of US sales and global consultant relations at Standish, Chris was head of consultant relations since 2003. Chris began his career at Mercer Investment Consulting where he was a senior research analyst in the manager research group, before moving to State Street Research, where he managed the firm’s consultant relations strategy on a national basis.

Chris joins ICG’s existing 13 strong global distribution team, and is the third North America distribution director alongside Lisa Chaves and Phil Cothern, all based in New York.
