She will report to Philip Keller, Chief Financial and Operating Officer and succeeds Jo Zendel who is retiring this summer following a successful 30 year career, the last 12 years of which were spent with ICG.
Antje joins from Russell Reynolds Associates, the global executive search and leadership consulting specialists, where she was a Managing Director and Global Co-head of the Investment Management Practice. Antje has been deeply immersed in the global asset management industry for close to 15 years and, having worked closely with ICG for several years, is familiar with its business. She joined Russell Reynolds Associates in 2010 and was Head of UK Financial Services before assuming her present position. Antje started her career with A.T. Kearney in London as a Consultant in European Asset Management before moving to Spencer Stuart Associates.
Commenting on Antje’s appointment, Philip Keller said:
Jo has been an integral part of ICG’s success for well over a decade and will be greatly missed for the vision that she consistently brought to executive discussions and her numerous achievements. We have identified in Antje a fantastic successor whose insight and deep knowledge of the sector make her eminently capable of leading our HR function through the next phase of growth. We are delighted that Antje is joining us to take on this exciting challenge.
Since joining ICG in 2006, Jo Zendel oversaw the transformation of the business from 65 people to well over 300 today. She implemented a unique internship programme which has been effective in providing people from diverse backgrounds with the access to asset management. Jo was also instrumental in establishing ICG’s partnership with Think Forward – now in its sixth year – supporting a nascent charity while implementing a mentoring programme, directly and positively impacting the lives of many young people.
Antje Hensel-Roth commented:
ICG is very well positioned as a leader in alternative asset management and I look forward to helping drive its agenda of growth and innovation at a global scale. The investment, distribution and business infrastructure teams at ICG are of the highest calibre and will continue to adapt well to changing market conditions. There is plenty of opportunity for HR to underpin the achievement of excellent results for our clients and shareholders as we continue to evolve even further as a first class organisation.
