Malcolm joins ICG from Legal & General Investment Management (L&G) where he was Head of Fixed Income (FI) Distribution. At L&G Malcolm held the company’s FI relationships with investment consultants as well as relationships with key UK institutional investors. Malcolm has worked across the breadth of FI strategies both liquid and illiquid, and was responsible for development and delivery of L&G’s FI distribution strategy.
Malcolm was at L&G for ten years and held a variety of credit and FI focused roles, including co-head of credit and four years as senior credit fund manager where he was Citywire A rated. Prior to L&G he was head of credit at First State Investments and a portfolio manager. Prior to this he worked at Lombard Odier as a credit portfolio manager and prior to that at Bankgesellschaft Berlin as a credit trader. He began his career at Nomura.
Malcolm joins ICG’s existing 14 strong global distribution team, and is the third member of ICG’s UK distribution team. He reports to Michael Biereth, head of UK and Scandinavian distribution, and will also work alongside Kalyani Jani, all based in London.
